Global Presence

Model United Nations, also known as Model UN or MUN, is an extra-curricular activity in which students typically role-play delegates to the United Nations and simulate UN committees. This activity takes place at MUN conferences, which is usually organized by a high school or college MUN club. At the end of most conferences, outstanding delegates in each committee are recognized and given an award certificate; the Best Delegate in each committee, however, receives a gavel. Thousands of middle school high school and college students across the country and around the world participate in Model United Nations, which involves substantial researching, public speaking, debating, and writing skills, as well as critical thinking, teamwork, and leadership abilities. Our students have participated all over the world and received many awards. They have been to China, Oxford, New York and closer home to Hyderabad and Nasik to attend these conferences. As part of educational trips the students have visited NASA, the children’s festival in Turkey, and also have been to many places in India to- the Great Himalayan National Park is one of their many experiences.

HOUSES

The House System is designed to embody the values and ethos of the school and aims to be an integral part of the school community. The House Captains and the School Council work together to create a stronger pupil voice to motivate students and further the community spirit of the school. The Houses are primarily a means whereby the potential of each individual can be capitalized upon.

Each student is assigned to one of the four houses. All students are enrolled in a House on entering class I onwards. Whenever possible, siblings are allocated to the same House. Once allocated, students may not – under any circumstances – move to a different House. Each house has a House Master/Mistress and Student Leaders, in the primary school and senior school respectively.

Our aim is to provide every pupil in each house with the following :

  • A sense of belonging within the school community
  • Opportunities to develop social, intellectual, physical and practical skills
  • A sense of achievement both inside and outside of the classroom
  • Opportunities for leadership
  • An awareness of individual and collective responsibility
